About our pieces
Is everything really handmade?
Yes. Every piece is made by hand by men and women artisans in the hill and mountain regions of Nepal. That means tiny differences in weave, colour and size from one piece to the next. We think that's the best part.
What exactly is hemp?
Hemp fibre comes from the stalk of the hemp plant. It has no psychoactive effect at all. It's known as one of the strongest natural fibres.
Will it feel rough?
New hemp has a natural, slightly textured feel. It softens with every use and every wash, and it just keeps getting better.
How do I care for it?
Hand wash or use a gentle cold cycle with mild soap, then hang to dry. Skip the bleach and the dryer. For bags with trim details, spot clean only.

Where do you ship?
We ship across Canada.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is $12, and free on orders of $75 or more. Express shipping is $20.
How long will it take?
Every order is packed by hand and handed to Canada Post within 3 business days. After that, standard shipping usually takes 1 to 10 business days depending on where you are in Canada, and express usually takes 1 to 3 business days. Remote and northern addresses can take longer. These are Canada Post's estimates, not guarantees. You'll get an email with tracking as soon as your order ships.
Returns
Can I return something?
Yes, within 30 days of receiving it. Items must be unworn and unused, with tags and original packaging. Email return@thehimalcollective.com with your order number to start a return.
Who pays for return shipping?
If you changed your mind, return shipping is on you. If your item arrived damaged, defective or wrong, we cover it. Just email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo.
Can I return the boxers or socks?
For hygiene reasons, underwear and socks can only be returned unopened in their original sealed packaging.
How do exchanges work?
The fastest way is to return the item and place a new order for the one you want.
